Terms

Last updated 5 October 2026.

These terms cover the Vert waitlist and the Vert iPhone app, which measures your vertical jump from video and plans training around it. Joining the waitlist or using the app means you agree to them.

The waitlist

Joining puts your email on our list. We will write to you about the release of Vert and invite you to test it. You can leave at any time from any email we send.

Using the app

Your licence to use Vert is Apple's Licensed Application End User License Agreement, the same one that covers every App Store app. These terms sit alongside it and cover what is specific to Vert.

Training is at your own risk

Vert is not medical advice. Jump training loads your knees, ankles, hips and back. Warm up, land softly, and stop if something hurts. If you report pain, the app holds your plan where it is. That is a guard, not a diagnosis. If you have an injury or a condition that affects exercise, talk to a doctor or a qualified coach before you train. You choose how hard to train, and you take the risk of training.

What a measurement is

Vert works out a jump's height from video filmed on your phone. It is an estimate, not a certified measurement, and we make no claim about how accurate it is. How you film changes the result. When Vert cannot measure a clip well, it tells you why and how to film it again instead of giving you a number. Vert does not promise that you will jump higher, and any timeline toward a goal is an estimate, not a promise.

Subscriptions

Apple takes every payment, and only Apple can give a refund. We cannot refund you ourselves. To ask Apple for one, go to reportaproblem.apple.com. If a charge looks wrong, write to us and we will help you work out what happened.

Age

Vert is for people 13 and older. If you are under 18, you need a parent's or guardian's permission to use Vert, and they agree to these terms for you.

Your content

Your videos stay on your phone and stay yours. We claim no rights over them. What leaves your phone is set out in the privacy policy.

What you may not do

Limits

We give you Vert as it is. We do not promise it will always work, have no bugs, or give the right number every time. As far as the law allows, we are not responsible for injuries from training, for lost data, or for indirect losses, and the most we owe you for any claim is what you paid for Vert in the 12 months before it. Where the law does not allow a limit like these, that limit does not apply to you.

Apple

Apple is not a party to these terms and does not have to support the app. Questions and claims about Vert come to us, not Apple. Apple and its subsidiaries may still enforce these terms against you.

Ending it

You can stop at any time by cancelling your subscription and deleting your account. We may suspend access if these terms are seriously or repeatedly broken.

Changes

If these terms change, the date at the top changes and the new version is published here. The app shows you a material change before it takes effect.
